Bio

Brian Dailey (b. 1990) is a musician, composer, and music educator based in Norman, Oklahoma. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, he earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Percussion Performance in 2012, receiving the Outstanding Undergraduate Award that same year. In 2010, he toured nationally with The Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps as Quad Captain. After college, Brian toured Mexico, Central America, and South America as a drummer in the main stage production band aboard the Carnival Splendor. In 2024, he completed a Master’s Degree in Arts Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Oklahoma.

Currently, Brian is an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Oklahoma School of Dance, where he teaches Music for Dancers, a required course for all undergraduate dance students. He has been the Director of Percussion at Norman North High School since 2013, leading the drumline and percussion ensembles. Additionally, he runs a private studio offering lessons in drums, percussion, piano, and composition to students of all ages and skill levels.

An active performer and composer, Brian is a fixture in the Oklahoma City metro. He accompanies dance classes at the University of Oklahoma, plays drum set and percussion for the OU School of Musical Theatre, and performs with Boyd Street Brass, a local New Orleans-style brass band. A staple of the Oklahoma jazz scene, Brian also regularly gigs across a variety of musical genres.
